On June 17th, 2023, in a Netflix event, Chris Hemsworth expressed the success Extraction 2 has been receiving.
And out of excitement, he further mentioned Extraction 3 being in the making. However, despite the confirmation, we don’t have an accurate release date yet. So, let’s draw a pattern here, shall we?
Extraction was released in April 2020, and Extraction 2 was released in June 2023.
But then again, it is unlikely for Extraction 3 to take three years to release since the movie is already in production. So according to the talk of the town, you can expect Extraction 3 to release by mid-2025.
Is The Official Trailer Out Yet?
Unfortunately, the official trailer is not out yet!
In fact, it’s just been three days since the announcement of Extraction 3. So naturally, it would take the makers a bit longer to release the trailer.

Who Is The Potential Cast in Extraction 3?
As mentioned earlier, the person who announced the making of Extraction 3 was Chris Hemsworth himself, so it would be unlikely for him not to reprise his lead role as Tyler Rake.
And if Tyler is on board, then how can we not expect Nik Khan to be there? Hence, another potential cast member is Golshifteh Farahani.
Other than that, fans are also hoping to see Idris Elba return too.
Now that I have discussed about the cast that would most likely return, let’s talk about the one who won’t: Judging by the events that unfolded in the previous movie, Adam Bessa’s character as Yaz (Nik’s brother) won’t make it to Extraction 3.
Then the Georgini mob and Radiani brothers won’t come back either.
What Can You Expect From the Upcoming Movie?
Extraction 2 ended on a note with Tyler Rake breaking into a prison to save his family. And in the process of doing so, one of the culprits died, which further enraged his brother (Zurab).
Zurab then pledged that he wouldn’t stop until he killed Tyler Rake.
Isn’t it weird that Tyler is being preyed upon for an attack that happened on his family, which he successfully dodged that coincidently affected his culprit? How is that fair?
Anyway, after the long cat-and-mouse chase, Tyler kills Zurab and gets arrested by the cops, along with his partner, Nik. So, the upcoming film will definitely focus on the offer Idris Elba made in part 2. What mission was she talking about? And who is the boss?
Extraction 3 will explore this new job. You can bet it would be difficult for Rake. However, you can still expect some sweeter moments with a potential romantic plot with Nik. (There must be some fire to the smoking sexual tension.)
And lastly, the new villain might make an appearance.
